This Week at Nixon Park - October 25 - November 2
Birds are easier to photograph once the leaves start to fall. Some of our winter migrants like the Dark-eyed Juncos and White-throated Sparrows have started arriving in numbers.

Dark-eyed Juncos have arrived from the north to spend the winter with us. The first two are females (note the brownish patch on their back, the third is a male sporting the darker slate color.
Juncos and Sparrows have started their winter habits of ranging through the underbrush - for more see Herds of Birds.
